G8 tent protestors echo Obama

“Yes we camp” – a message posted in giant letters on the hillside of Roio, just in front of the police college barracks where the G8 summit is being held – was the slogan chosen by the citizen committees of L’Aquila to welcome world leaders.

Large plastic sheets held down by rocks were laid down by members of the Comitato 3e32, symbolically named after the time the earthquake hit the town of L’Aquila before dawn on April 6.
