Lehman Brothers on Thursday said it would name Erin Callan, a prominent investment banker at the bank, as its new chief financial officer starting in December, making her one of the most senior women on Wall Street.

Ms Callan, who joined Lehman in 1995, will take over from Chris O’Meara, who will become global head of risk management.
