Gloomy housing data take wind out of Dow's sails

Wall Street stocks were little changed at mid-afternoon yesterday after some poor data on new home sales weighed on sentiment.

The S&P 500 was trading 0.1 per cent higher at 1,527.17, having at one point hit 1531.58. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2 per cent at 2,703.69 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 13,874.17.
