‘Simpler’ PCs aim to entice elderly online

Valerie Singleton, the former television and radio presenter, on Wednesday became the latest well-known figure to try to entice older people into the digital age by launching a computer specifically designed for the over-50 market.

The £300 ($498) machines are simplified, with only a few programs such as internet and e-mail, to avoid putting off elderly users.
