Ukip profits from expenses scandal

The UK Independence party was celebrating strong advances last night, as early results suggested the eurosceptics could emerge as the big beneficiaries from the expenses scandal.

Strong preliminary signs from the counts across the country have convinced party leaders that the Ukip vote share will exceed 20 per cent, pushing it ahead of Labour into second place.
