Commodity markets remain under pressure

Markets retreated on Wednesday with crude oil prices sinking below the $61-a-barrel level, while base metals fell and gold slipped below the $910 an ounce mark.

Risk appetite remained subdued amid nagging concerns about the global economy’s recovery prospects.
