Call for infrastructure finance reform

Britain needs a publicly funded infrastructure bank to prioritise and fund energy, transport, communication and utility projects along with schools and hospitals, one of the Conservative leader David Cameron’s favourite think-tanks said on Sunday.

In addition, new mechanisms to bring private sector finance into infrastructure are desperately needed, according to the report by Policy Exchange, as the UK’s infrastructure leaves it at a competitive disadvantage with much of Europe.
