Don’t put all your apples in one basket

After a lifetime living abroad, Lloyd Barham, 43, has come back to live in the UK with his wife and two  children – and is concerned that his family lacks financial security.

“In the case of a long economic depression or money dislocation we want to survive, keep our house, keep the kids in school and get by,” he says. “Our financial goal is security so that, in the years when my extremely erratic income is low, we can feel much more comfortable undertaking entrepreneurial enterprises.”
