LG Philips in warning over falling prices

LG Philips LCD, the world's second-largest liquid crystal display maker, on Monday said prices for flat panels would fall by 10-15 per cent in the next few months as global production moved into surplus.

The gloomy forecast came after the flat screen maker reported a 20 per cent fall in LCD prices and weaker-than-expected demand for large-sized flat panel televisions in the three months to the end of September.
