Advice to business on how to guard against terrorist attacks is to be stepped up as part of a package of initiatives to be announced on Wednesday to improve the security of government and economic interests.

Other plans being rolled out by the government include the deployment of armed military police to gas pipelines, and additional security measures for areas attracting large public crowds, such as transport hubs, football stadiums and supermarkets.
