David Blunkett, the former UK home secretary, yesterday warned that Britain could face a cyber attack on the 2012 Olympics.

A co-ordinated computer attack could wipe out tickets, transport links, and hotel bookings for thousands of visitors, causing chaos, Mr Blunkett claimed.
