Japan’s new equity at a peak for year

Japanese companies are issuing new equity at the fastest pace on record this year with bankers and strategists forecasting that plenty more companies will issue before the end of the fiscal year in March.

Equity issuance – excluding initial public offerings – has reached $34.7bn this year, according to Dealogic data.
