NYSE reorganises top management

The NYSE Group reorganised its senior management Monday, hiring Duncan Niederauer, of Goldman Sachs, as president and co-chief operating officer, and promoting Gerald Putnam to vice-president.

Mr Niederauer, currently managing director and head of equity execution services at Goldman Sachs, will take responsibility for the US cash equities operations, including institutional and member firm client group sales and client services for both the New York Stock Exchange and NYSE Arca.
