Boston Provident CFO charged with fraud

Ezra Levy, chief financial officer of Boston Provident Partners, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of stealing more than $1.3m from the New York hedge fund.

Federal prosecutors charged Mr Levy with 11 counts of wire and securities fraud against Boston Provident, a hedge fund run by Orin Kramer, the Democratic fundraiser and chairman of the New Jersey State Investment Council, which oversees the state’s pension fund.
