Sir, Michael Skapinker is correct – it is perfectly possible for companies to handle the web without an adviser (November 13). But perhaps he underestimates the challenges and opportunities companies face in an environment where their customers, competitors and influencers can instantly connect and share information and views globally. A website is of limited value when word of mouth has hugely accelerated and rumours are spreading like wildfire.
