Li Ka-shing invests in Grace

Li Ka-shing, the Hong Kong tycoon, is to invest US$90m in Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing, a Shanghai-based chipmaker.

The investment, to be made through Mr Li's companies Cheung Kong (Holdings) and Hutchison Whampoa, offers a potentially important boost to Grace as it prepares for an initial public offering planned for next year.
