TSMC warns of chipmarket contraction

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC), the world's largest contract chipmaker, on Thursday warned of a contraction of the world semiconductor market this year.

?We have slightly downward revised my earlier comments that it would be flat [this year]. My forecast now is about minus two per cent,? said Morris Chang, chairman.
