Nasa and India co-operate on moon mission

In a boost to space co-operation between India and the US, Nasa will provide scientific instruments for Chandrayaan-1, the developing country?s first unmanned moon mission, scheduled for early 2008.

The space collaboration forms part of the Bush administration?s drive to build a tight strategic partnership with India, the centrepiece of which is a groundbreaking deal on civilian nuclear cooperation currently under scrutiny in the US Congress.
