Directors stifle green enthusiasm

More than half of company directors are “climate change cynics” who are stifling the enthusiasm of junior and young managers to take action on green issues, a report warns on Wednesday .

The Chartered Management Institute, the professional body for managers, says failure to tackle climate change in the workplace is imperilling Britain’s ability to take an international lead. It argues that employers are missing opportunities to cut costs, exploit new markets and win customers.
