Last chance for Obama to land knockout blow

Barack Obama faces his fifth - and some believe final - chance of unequivocally seizing the Democratic nomination in a critical showdown today with Hillary Clinton in primary elections in Indiana and North Carolina.

Having admitted that he has endured a "rough couple of weeks" over the controversy with Jeremiah Wright, his former pastor, Mr Obama goes into the polls knowing they are his last opportunity to end the primary season with a clear result.
