Jos? Barroso, European commissionr president, warned the EU?s world trade partners on Monday that Europe was not prepared to give up more farm aid to complete the troubled Doha round.

World Trade Organisation members on Sunday reached a compromise agreement that averted a crisis at their Hong Kong meeting, but at the cost of postponing until next year all the most difficult negotiations in the Doha trade round.
