Unease on hedge funds mars hearing

Unease over the risks posed by hedge funds cast a shadow over congressional deliberations on the rapidly growing industry on Wednesday, with a leading Democrat suggesting that no one yet had a full grasp of the issue.

“We have a kind of uneasy consensus that there is a potential problem that we wish we were more sure about how to approach,” said Barney Frank, chairman of the House financial services committee.
