Doping cases plummet

Drugs have so far been the dog that didn’t bark at the Beijing Olympics – and the International Olympic Committee thinks it knows why.

“It is not complicated,” Patrick Schamasch, the IOC’s medical director, told the Financial Times. He believes a big anti-doping drive conducted prior to the games, in response to a “strong message” from Jacques Rogge, IOC president, is responsible.
