RSC brings Soviet-era struggles to stage

It may be a frosty time for relations between Russia and the west, but a new theatre initiative is aimed at keeping cultural channels between the two sides open.

The Royal Shakespeare Company on Monday announced a new season that will include the works of playwrights from the former Soviet Union, to be performed in Stratford and London.
