Nomura Holdings’ Middle East revenue is on course to match the best year of Lehman Brothers in the region, helped by the revival in financial markets, according to a senior executive at the group.
Nomura has been present in the region since 1974, but nearly trebled its regional staff to about 70 when it acquired Lehman Brothers’ European, Asian and Middle East business, after the US investment bank imploded last autumn.
