Crisp judgment on taxing Pringles

They might look like crisps, they might sort of taste like crisps, they might be sold alongside crisps, but they can never be considered a member of the salty, oily group that is the crisps family.

That is the verdict of the High Court on Pringles, the snack that is known for its distinctive tubular packaging, uniform “saddle” shape and “mouth melt” texture – at least according to manufacturers Procter & Gamble.
