European laws to regulate hedge funds and private equity funds for the first time should be subject to a full impact assessment, Lord Myners, a UK Treasury minister, said on Monday.

“The [European Parliament] is likely to come to a more informed conclusion if there is a full impact assessment,” Lord Myners said after travelling to Brussels to lobby MEPs.
