Europe, US deadlocked on air security

Attempts to find transatlantic agreement on counter-terror measures for the airline industry are floundering as governments and aviation experts argue about which security rules would be most effective.

UK airline and airport authorities on Friday revealed there was still no agreement on what measures could best ease the disruption and economic costs to the industry while keeping passengers safe from terrorist attacks.
