Macquarie to sell stake in airport group

Macquarie, the Australian bank known for its portfolio of infrastructure assets, is to sell its stake in a Japanese airport operator at a loss after the investment stirred a protectionist backlash.

The bank’s exit from Japan Airport Terminal , operator of terminal buildings at Haneda Airport, Tokyo’s domestic hub, comes after Japanese lawmakers threatened to impose a cap on foreign investments in the sector.
