The Financial Times (FT) Weekend last night celebrated the first anniversary of its FT House & Home supplement becoming a stand-alone section. At an event held at the Pearson building in London, it was also announced that due to the popularity of the section, coverage will be expanded from 12 to 16 pages.
FT House & Home has a broad international scope, offering in-depth reporting and innovative ideas on residential property and design. Signature articles include Next Neighbourhood, My Favourite Home and Expat Lives. The expansion of the section from September 8th allows more room for stories on markets, trends and personalities written by the FT’s vast network of correspondents, columnists and critics. There will be more coverage of UK property, a new column and enhanced architecture and interiors features.
In addition, the expansion of FT House & Home will provide advertisers with more opportunities to reach the FT readership and appear in an international product, unrivalled in its editorial quality and global distribution. The average value of Weekend FT readers’ main residence in the UK is £428,379 which is approximately £88,000 more than their nearest competing title.
Alison Beard, editor of FT House & Home, commented: “FT House & Home is designed to be a truly global product for a truly global audience. We’re delighted to have had such a successful first year and think our readers will greatly enjoy all the new features we have planned.”
