Chambers refused work at ‘minimum wage’ rates

Sir, Alexander Lovell (Letters, May 7) comments that the starting salaries of newly qualified solicitors may amount to little more than the minimum wage once their long hours are part of the equation. I will be interested to monitor any differences between my two daughters who are following the same career path and me.
