C-Corp damps speculation over sale

The Clearing Corporation, the Chicago-based clearing house used by derivatives exchange Eurex for its US operation, said on Monday it was not for sale but did not rule out finding a buyer in the future if shareholders decided a sale was appropriate.

The disclosure, by the group's chief executive Richard Jaycobs, scotches speculation that the company might be part of an effort by the Chicago Board of Trade to secure a clearing house.
