Croatia pushes for EU entry date

Croatia is pushing Brussels for a more precise timetable to join the European Union, amid fears that "enlargement fatigue" in the 25-member club could put the brakes on the next country in line to join the bloc.

Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, Croatia's foreign minister, believes the Balkan country will be ready to join the EU by 2009, and says ambiguity about its entry date could delay reforms.
