One-off jewels from the hands of contemporary jewellers, sometimes called artists or artist jewellers, are generating growing interest at auction.
“Whenever we see a piece of high quality contemporary jewellery, we jump on it,” says Francois Curiel, head of Christie’s jewellery department.
