The board of EADS on Monday night finally reached agreement on the controversial restructuring of Airbus, the European aircraft maker, ending the damaging disagreements between the group’s French and German shareholders.

The plan, which would be disclosed on Wednesday to Airbus’s European works council, was aimed at improving EADS’s operating profits by €2.1bn ($2.8bn) in 2010 and increasing the group’s cumulative cashflow by €5bn between 2007 and 2010, EADS said on Monday night.
