Clarke's move spurs rivals into action

Kenneth Clarke's rivals in the Conservative leadership race are stepping up their campaigns as the former chancellor today places his opposition to the Iraq war at the centre of his third bid for the job.

Many of Mr Clarke's opponents have been spurred into action after he set out his stall yesterday.
