Virgin Media on Thursday filed a law suit with the High Court against British Sky Broadcasting over the dispute surrounding the carriage of the satellite broadcaster’s basic channels on the cable network.

BSkyB pulled its channels from Virgin Media’s television service on March 1 after the cable company rejected demands to double the payment to the satellite group. The two sides have failed reach an agreement and talks broke down.
