Feast and famine

As climate change raises global temperatures, large swathes of northerly regions from Scandinavia to Siberia will be able to grow crops that previously could only be harvested in more southerly regions.

Some see climate change as a golden opportunity to revolutionise agriculture. Vineyards from France could be transplanted to Scotland; wheat could be grown in northern Canada, or cattle bred in Alaska.
