Dolan family members may buy Voom

Members of the Dolan family, which controls New-York based cable company Cablevision, are considering buying the company's loss-making Voom high-definition television service, according to a company memo.

The memo, sent to staff on January 19 following a Cablevision board meeting and published on the internet, said a resolution was passed, in a split vote, to sell or dispose of Voom.
