European drive for car-share club

Zipcar, the world's largest car-sharing club, plans to expand its business into at least a dozen European cities over the next three to five years, according to its chief executive.

The private company, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, thinks car clubs could become "a multibillon-dollar industry" within five to 10 years and is considering an initial public offer, Scott Griffith told the Financial Times in an interview.
