The award of a $400m contract to build a construction village for workers involved in developing the Gorgon liquefied natural gas project off Western Australia has helped boost the order pipeline at Kentz, the Aim-quoted oil services company.
Kentz saw its order book grow by 10 per cent to $1.1bn in the six months to June 30, as revenues held steady at $329m. But further contract wins since then has left its backlog at $1.39bn in spite of a slowdown in oil and gas exploration.
