OMG has managed to recapture fast-moving Nick Bolton, and has promoted him to the chief executive's chair which is being vacated by the company's founder, Dr Julian Morris.

The Aim-traded company, which works in the three-dimensional capture and analysis of movement for the life science, entertainment and engineering industries, previously hired Mr Bolton in 1995 as its product manager. He left in 1999 to pursue marketing and product management roles in various technology companies including Micromuse, Lexicle, a start-up he co-founded, and Aim-listed Mediasurface.
