Iran rules out nuclear power talks

President Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad on Monday ruled out halting Iran’s nuclear programme and rejected a deadline for the start of international talks about the issue.

“From our point of view, Iran’s nuclear issue is closed . . . we will not negotiate on Iran’s obvious right,” Mr Ahmadi-Nejad said at his first news conference since his government was approved last week.
