Global Fund draws fire over selection process

Directors of the UN-backed Global Fund to Fight Aids, TB and Malaria will convene tomorrow to draw up a shortlist of candidates to head the organisation, amid growing pressure for greater openness in the selection process.

The appointment of an executive director is being closely watched, as the fund is at the centre of efforts to offer, "as close as possible", universal access to HIV medication.
