Iceland urged to ratify deal for savers

Iceland’s finance minister has urged lawmakers to ratify a deal to reimburse British and Dutch savers who lost money in Icelandic accounts.

Steingrímur Sigfússon said the agreement was “the single biggest outstanding issue” facing Iceland as it battles to rebuild its economy after last October’s banking collapse.
