Sir, If the Group of Eight draft communiqué comes to pass (“G8 leaders ready to backtrack on $25bn aid pledge to Africa”, June 30), it will be the greatest travesty of justice for the poor in recent times and will reverse the past 10 years’ global work to make poverty history.
