New measures to limit the threat posed to corporate tax revenues by European court rulings will be challenged in court, tax advisers warned yesterday.

The Treasury unveiled a modest relaxation of the rules allowing companies to take advantage of low tax rates in other EU countries, in response to a European court ruling on a case involving Cadbury Schweppes in September.
