Mondi a one-day wonder on FTSE

Mondi, the paper and packaging group, has scooped an unfortunate gong for the shortest stay on the FTSE 100 as it was ejected from the blue-chip index after just one day.

The unusual sequence was prompted by a change in rules from FTSE International, the index compiler, in January, to increase transparency for investors.
