A board move is in store for Andrew Harrison, UK chief executive of Carphone Warehouse, as he becomes an executive director.

The appointment comes as Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux is stepping down from the board to take on his new job as chairman and chief executive of Virgin Mobile France.
