Finance chief goes as Leap faces bid

Leap Wireless International’s chief financial officer resigned on Friday in the midst of the company’s review of an unsolicited $5.4bn all-stock offer from rival MetroPCS tabled earlier this week.

The company, which like MetroPCS specialises in the pre-paid wireless market, said that Amin Khalifa had resigned to pursue other interests.
